Quality is our top priority
Completing a localization project isn’t all that different from constructing a building: You need solid foundations, expert supervisors, and skilled professionals. Small errors in the preliminary stages can have big impacts on quality and the final costs, which is why we take care of every detail from start to finish.
To start off, we’ll ask you about the industry you work in, the kind of content you’d like to be translated and the language combination you need. We listen to your needs and take your particular requirements into consideration, and, based on this, we recommend the most appropriate service. The more complicated the job, the more eager we’ll be to tackle it: We like challenges.
Once the project has been evaluated, we analyze your multimedia files using a CAT tool and send you the most precise and realistic quote possible. Over our years of experience, we’ve learned that some jobs are more complicated than others. But we’ve also learned how to recognize those jobs. One of our aims is to respect your budget and save you from any surprises along the way.
Based on the type of content, we select the right language partners for the job from our database and contact them to find out their availability. In the meantime, we analyze any reference material and language instructions that you’ve given us. If it’s the first time that you're having your content translated, we can work with you to create a style guide, guidelines, and glossary.
After preparing the project, we put together a team of translators and revisers and set a deadline to provide you with a target date that allows us to guarantee you the highest quality and also meet your requirements as closely as possible. Once the schedule has been agreed, we’re ready to send the material to the language team. It’s time to get the show on the road.
During this stage, we make sure that everything is running smoothly with the project. We do this in a few different ways:
We share any updates and changes to the text that you send us with the language team.
We filter and share any linguistic questions and queries sent by the team with you.
We carry out intermediate reviews to make sure the linguists’ work is in line with your expectations.
We always try to anticipate any problems, but if anything does come up, we know how to find solutions to avoid holding up the workflow:
In case of spikes in workload, changes in capacity, or overbooked resources, we reorganize the breakdown of tasks to avoid moving the final deadline.
We assign backup language partners and project managers to every project and keep them updated so they are able to cover in case of absences or emergencies.
Our horizontal and flexible internal structure allows us to share information and skills in a more straightforward way and to react more quickly to unexpected events.
We only involve you in any problem that arises if it’s really necessary. You can continue concentrating on meeting your customers’ requirements, while we work to meet yours. But this doesn’t mean that we won't keep you updated on the project’s progress. You can ask us for updates at any time: We’ll be happy to show you our progress and give you details about our work.
Relying on just one professional, no matter how skilled they are, isn’t enough to guarantee the quality of the final translation. Once the language partner sends in their work, we have the text revised by a second mother tongue linguist with industry experience to check that there aren’t any issues.
After the revision, we keep track of the quality provided by individual linguists and we share timely feedback with them to make sure their work methods are in line with ours. Our internal quality management process allows us to:
Identify the best resources to continue to have them work on your content.
Continue to develop resources who have less experience but good potential.
Remove resources from the team if they haven’t met our standards.
Our revisers are skilled professionals and we trust their judgment to know whether the translation respects your quality requirements. But there’s a judgment that’s even more important than theirs: yours.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned in over 20 years of experience, it’s that you never stop learning. Your judgment not only lets us know how we've done and where we can improve, but it also helps us to grow as professionals. Translation isn’t an exact science and disagreements can often crop up. You might have suggestions about the style or terminology, but you might also think that the final result could be improved. If this happens, we listen to you and work to understand what works and what could work better, and then we make the necessary changes with help from the language team.
The aim of this stage is to find a middle ground between our expertise as language consultants and your industry knowledge. Transparent, open dialog is the only way to build a constructive relationship based on mutual trust.
Before sending you the translated content, we check that it’s identical to the original using a desktop publishing or functional testing stage. Thanks to this final step, we return your content to you ready to be distributed and used by your customers.
Our support doesn’t end once the project has been completed. You can count on us for updates, consulting, or simply advice. And when you have new content to translate, we’ll be happy to work with you again.
